Ariel Marshall honored in the 40 Under 40 class.

Dr. Ariel Marshall, a Ph.D. graduate of the group of Joseph Perry, is one of four honorees from the College of Sciences in the 2024 GT 40 Under 40 class. She is the chief of staff to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Under Secretary for Science and Innovation. Before assuming this role, Marshall served as the legislative director for Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire. During Marshall’s nearly nine-year tenure on Capitol Hill, she helped to advance several impactful government policies and led efforts to secure historic investments in energy, water, and broadband infrastructure as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Arkansas and a doctorate degree in Chemistry from Georgia Tech.
