Georgia Tech STARS students at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Undergraduates from the STARS (Structural Nucleic Acid Anticancer Research Society) student nonprofit organization visited the Spallation Neutron Source and High Flux isotope reactor at ORNL to learn how neutrons can provide unique and important information about the structure of biological macromolecules. Along the way, they also visited the graphite reactor, a historic artifact from the Manhattan Project. You can read a complete account of their day trip to Oak Ridge National Lab here.
